MASSAGE THERAPY
Manual manipulation of soft body tissues, muscle, connective tissue, tendons and ligaments. Massage encourages increased circulation (blood flow), which is necessary for healing, and it enhances over-all health and well-being while lowering stress.

DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE
Targets specific muscle groups to prevent injuries, enhance recovery from existing injuries and improve athletic performance. This modality helps keep muscles healthy and reduces the chance of soft tissue injury. Whether you’re a serious athlete, a weekend warrior, or just starting out with a sport or exercise, Deep Tissue Massage is incredibly beneficial to include in your training routine.

HYDROTHERAPY
Ice and heat are applied before and during massage to decrease pain and inflammation. This technique aids in the recovery of an injured muscle by increasing localized blood flow and reducing muscle tension, which enhances the effects of massage.

CRANIAL SACRAL THERAPY
A holistic healing practice that uses a very light touch to balance the craniosacral system in the body, which includes the bones, nerves, fluids and connective tissue of the cranium and spinal cord areas. Repetitive and traumatic stress can compromise the proper functioning of the central nervous system. Cranial Sacral Therapy has been found to alleviate a wide variety of dysfunctions, from chronic pain and sports injuries to migraines, PTSD, Chronic Fatigue, Fibromyalgia, and many other conditions.

SPINAL TOUCH
This modality is a very powerful light touch technique that trains the muscles of the back to relax so the spine can align into its natural position. Because of injury or everyday stress, the muscles that keep us upright can become tight, throwing the spine out of its natural alignment. This can cause pain or numbness, as blood flow is cut off from certain areas. Spinal touch guides the body to correct alignment with its center of gravity and allows healing to begin.

PERSONAL TRAINING
Targeting training designed specifically to meet each client’s needs, whether you’re looking for an easeful, gentle strengthening and stretching routine or a more ambitious, challenging program to improve competitive performance. Training includes a focus on learning how the muscles work and interact, and nutrition advice based on the book Eat Right for Your Blood Type.

Heather creates a space to help people be and feel their best. Her gift for healing extends beyond her hands. She puts everything into it. From the minute I walk in she is asking me about posture, aches, emotions, etc. She has a confidence and context for what she offers.

I have suffered from chronic back and neck pain for years and Heather’s magic hands have brought me tremendous relief. I look forward to seeing her every two weeks for a maintenance session, and she has saved me several times when my neck has locked up and I’ve been in a lot of pain.
